Group

An identified group of users who are designated through a range of specified permissions to create, maintain and/or use information records and/or information objects of specific types within the specified scope of a business process.

A group is characterized by a singular or combination of requirements as below:

Repetitive creation, maintenance and/or use of information records and/or objects of the same type by a specific line-of-business application.
The user within the community allocates specific permissions to the community object which, unless specified otherwise, allow the inheritance of such permissions.
User-interaction to information records and objects specific to the community, i.e. user-interfaces, queries and reports.
Exclusive ownership and/or access to information records and objects, or specified sharing thereof with other communities.
